Wow! She’™s the only candidate for the Republican primary in May, but still she barely leads. She doesn’™t even have 40% of her own party behind her. Man, she’™s buying a whole lot of nothing for that $10 Million she’™s supposedly promised to spend.

In the survey of 1,200 likely voters in Florida conducted by Strategic Vision LLC, Republicans were asked their choice for a Senate nominee against Nelson. Harris received 37 percent of the vote, followed by retired General Tommy Franks at 30 percent and Congressman Mark Foley at 5 percent.

State House Speaker Allan Bense, State Senate President Tom Lee, Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite, Congressman Dave Weldon, State Senator Daniel Webster and businessman Tom Rooney all received less than 5 percent of the vote, with 12 percent undecided.

Worse for her, when paired against lackluster incumbent Bill Nelson, she’™s polling 28 points back. That’™s a worse figure than when she entered the race eight months ago. Yes, she’™s gone backwards. Of course, she’™s got no coattails. Even in Florida Bush’™s approbvals, by the same Republican commissioned poll, are at 38%.

Tom Rooney has decided not to run against Harris in the latest news. There’™s only 40 days until the primary, and someone entering this late might have trouble against Harris. But overall I’™d just say that this race looks to be a complete cock-up by the Republicans.
