Oh, sure, she’™s an endangered species as well, one of the last moderate Republicans in the country. She supports abortion rights and gay rights, hates deficit spending, is as skeptical about Bush’™s unilateral foreign policies as I am. Heck, I wonder sometimes how she can remain a Republican ‘” even if the party decides to divorce itself from the Christian Right it will take 20 years for her to feel comfortable. Still, I love that she’™s a Republican, because she’™s also given money to Republican candidates in the past (she says I must add that these were ‘œnormal’ Republicans), and that means we get Republican fundraising mailings. Yeah, we get those mailings they think are going to folks to whom they’™ve already sold the koolaid. Even the mailings from Rick Santorum.

As such, this post is a celebration, because from the mailing sent to the wife of the SpinDentist (honey, won’™t you let me call you ‘œSpinLawyer?’ ), it appears that Mr. Santorum is running against Hillary Clinton and others.

The Democrats’™ leading candidate for president and a passionate defender of abortion comes to Philadelphia to raise big money for Robert Casey, Jr., who claims to be pro-life. Why?

Because Hillary Rodham Clinton knows Bob Casey will be a body in the Senate, little more. Charles Schumer, John Kerry, Harry Reid, Teddy Kennedy and the rest of the rabidly pro-abortion members of Casey’™s party know it, too.

In fact, ultra-liberal Barbara Boxer went so far as to declare that defeating me would be a ‘œpro-choice victory.’ The California Senator said aloud what we’™ve all been thinking.

. . . if Casey wins, his voice, and yours, will be silenced as liberals who control the Democrats in the Senate work to forward a far-left agenda that flies in the face of the needs of Pennsylvanians and their families.

There, that’™s enough of the quoting of Ricky’™s fundraising machine. Don’™t want any of your eyes to burn out of your heads or anything. Let me take this point by point. . .

I’™m not sure where to begin with the dishonesty of this fundraising letter.
