…and Someone Isn’t Going to Jail Because…?
I guess it’s time for Leader Reid and Speaker Pelosi to send another strongly worded letter. Seems as if the RNC has been willy nilly destroying emails, running the shredders overtime, and otherwise trying to obstruct justice in eliminating a papertrail of conversation of illegal activity outside of the White House email servers.

Reading a summary of investigation such as is posted on Speaker Pelosi’s website, you have to wonder how in the hell these guys continue to get away with it - and more importantly, what if it were Democrats doing this stuff? (You already know the answer to that…)
There has been extensive destruction of the e-mails of White House officials by the RNC. Of the 88 White House officials who received RNC e-mail accounts, the RNC has preserved no e-mails for 51 officials. In a deposition, Susan Ralston, Mr. Rove’s former executive assistant, testified that many of the White House officials for whom the RNC has no e-mail records were regular users of their RNC e-mail accounts. Although the RNC has preserved no e-mail records for Ken Mehlman, the former Director of Political Affairs, Ms. Ralston testified that Mr. Mehlman used his account “frequently, daily.” In addition, there are major gaps in the e-mail records of the 37 White House officials for whom the RNC did preserve e-mails. The RNC has preserved only 130 e-mails sent to Mr. Rove during President Bush’s first term and no e-mails sent by Mr. Rove prior to November 2003. For many other White House officials, the RNC has no e-mails from before the fall of 2006.
There is evidence that the Office of White House Counsel under Alberto Gonzales may have known that White House officials were using RNC e-mail accounts for official business, but took no action to preserve these presidential records…
And someone isn’t in jail because…?

makes those 18 minutes of yore seem quaint, eh?
At least when Rosemary Woods knew about the tapes, she came clean. People were still afraid of going to jail back in Nixon’s day. The current crew thinks they’re totally immune from prosecution (and maybe, in reality, they are). That’s why none of them comply with any congressional requests, or seem to feel there’s any need for compliance. What’s congress gonna do? Refer the case to a Bushie U.S. Attorney?
The game has been rigged.
because… IOKIYAR.
Your last comment is right on spot, Richard. The criminals are running the police station and the courts.
What the Congress could do is start impeaching judges like David Sentelle, or even Clarence Thomas. Not that they will, but when a Congress wants to exert its power, it has its ways.
hmmm you’ve hit the nail on the head there charles. congress doesn’t want to exert its power.
and richard too - it really does boggle the mind just how well they rigged this coup and they act with impunity because they have immunity. (said from my soapbox, pointing a finger in the air).
The democratic leadership’s seems to have forgotten that they have taken a duty to “Protect and defend the constitution from all enemies Domestic and foreign”. It is obivious that when the Speaker of the House declairs that” impeachment is off the table”, it was an invitation to Cheney and Rove that it would be business as usual. I suggest that Pelosi and Reid start meeting the obligations of their oath.
It is a defining time. If Pelosi and Reid think that they will be judged any less harsh than Bush or Cheney, they need to remember that histoy usually reserves a special place for cowards.
