World Peace Assured! Rumsfeld is on the Case!
The Hoover Institute is picking Don Rumsfeld to join its task force examining, among other things, World Peace. We can all sleep better at night now, eh?
Breath a sigh of relief, everyone. World peace is on its way. We may have to put up with some torture along the way, but it is assured now that Donald Rumsfeld has joined the Hoover Institute to work on their task force examining national security and wolrd peace. Now that Rummy is on the job, we’re all going to rest easier, right? From the San Francisco Chronicle:
President Bush’s former defense secretary, who resigned in 2006 amid escalating criticism over the war in Iraq, has been appointed to a one-year stint as a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, joining fellow conservatives George Shultz and Newt Gingrich.
“Don has had immense experience in public service, and has much to contribute to society as a result,” said the institution’s director, John Raisian. “I am pleased that he will spend time during the coming year in thinking, writing and advising on important matters of public policy.”
While he’s at Stanford, Rumsfeld will participate in a task force examining national security and world peace in the post-Sept. 11 era, Raisian said.
As a bonus, here’s the official news release from the Hoover Institute. They must be proud. Hoover Director John Raisian certainly seems so:
The nation’s experience since September 11, 2001, has provoked new ways of thinking about national security and world peace in a new era. “I have asked Don to join the distinguished group of scholars that will pursue new insights on the direction of thinking that the United States might consider going forward,” said Raisian. “ I am delighted that he will participate in the deliberations of our task force.”
Condi will evidently be joining Rummy on the Stanford campus after she gets finished stirring things up in the Middle East. I’m sure the folks on the Stanford campus will welcome them both.

well i just hope they’ll take that retard off the public payroll already. as far as i know, he still has an office at the dod - i never read otherwise.
but more likely, the hoover institute is getting massive gov’t money to do their dumbass studies.
Well, yes. The Hoover institute is likely as bungling as the President it is named after.
Hmm.
I hope they get the tar warmed up and the feathers plucked in time.
