Someone Should Ask John McCain About This
More massive death in Iraq. I’m wondering if anyone will ask the warmonger Mr. McCain what he thinks of the senseless death. I’m betting not.
Two bombs back in Iraq, and they happened at pet markets in Shiite sections of the city, though both Sunni and Shiite Iraqis attend the markets. The Times reports that 50 people have died in these worst bombings in over two months, but the news reports are putting the death toll far higher. Here’s a bit of the New York Times report:
BAGHDAD — Twin bombs struck two markets in central Baghdad on Friday, killing dozens in the worst attack in the Iraqi capital for many months.
One bomb hit the Ghazil pet market, the scene of another deadly bombing in November when 13 people were killed.
The second bomb hit minutes later and barely two miles away at the New Baghdad pet market. Both markets are on the east side of the Tigris River, and both are in mainly Shiite areas. But they are popular with both Shiites and Sunnis.
Early reports put the death toll from both attacks at more than 50. The bombings were carried out by women suicide attackers wearing explosive vests, witnesses said.
“Mr. McCain, you supported the invasion in Iraq, and it has now caused the death of several hundred thousand Iraqi civilians. Further, an estimated five million Iraqis can be classified as displaced persons. Now we see that the violence is not just raging still, but that it is happening at places where small children might logically congregate — a pet market. Mr. McCain, what personal responsibility do you take for backing the invasion of Iraq, and then the surge later on, given that it has led to so many deaths of innocent men, women and children.
Oh, and Mr. McCain, can we now expect 100 years of tens of thousands of civilian casualties per year among the Iraqi citizenry? If so, can you explain how you think they will continue to be our allies? I mean, given that their children are dying faster than any other population on earth, how do you think the Iraqi people will feel about us five years from now, with another couple hundred thousand deaths of innocents?”
OK, maybe that’s a far too difficult set of questions for the mainstream media to ask. But let’s end it with one more.
Mr. McCain, can you tell any of us that the policies you endorse did NOT foment terrorism?

This is really sad. And, I think one of the biggest reasons John McCain could never be elected president.
i’m sure all you’ll get out of him will be another hearty chorus of ‘Bomb bomb bomb Iran”
