Mildred Loving is a hero and she has died. She was part of a Supreme Court case that gave all of us the civil rights we deserve. Bless her.
Mildred Loving died this weekend. To some degree she’s a legend in the civil rights movement. She is black, she married a white man, and when Virginia law said that wasn’t allowed, she and her husband took it to the courts.
Loving in itself is important for any couple. i think of the gay and lesbian couples I know. They deserve the same outcome as Mildred got, for the Federal government to recognize their deepest relationships. We can only hope that comes to pass soon.
