Wingers Attack YouTube
Poor Republicans! Seems YouTube didn’t bend over backward to respect and honor Tony Snow. Michelle Malkin is upset, and K. Daniel Glover seems to imply that YouTube should be following a quota system so that conservative viewpoints are respected. Meanwhile, Glover promotes his own web site, where ugly partisanship holds sway.
Michelle Malkin is alarmed! She cites an article by K. Daniel Glover on the right wing Newsbusters web site where Glover whines and carries on about how YouTube disrespected Tony Snow. Glover thinks Snow should have been given every bit of praise as Tim Russert. Perhaps what we’ll see next is that Republicans will call for regulatiuon of YouTube so their people will get respected. Sort of a quota system, maybe.
I am not here to tear Tony Snow down, but the whining here has to stop. It isn’t important for me to say that Tony Snow is no Tim Russert. In my view, Tim Russert wasn’t near the man the eulogies claimed, though I would venture Russert was quite a good man. The point isn’t to compare two dead people. This is about conservative whiners, one (Glover) employed by the right wing Media Research Center to run their eyeblast.tv. No, Glover has a big whine, but his is the partisan position, not YouTube’s. For him to call for quotas so that YouTube will respect his conservative peers is simply stupid.
So, I’m waiting for the balance Glover calls for to be displayed on his own eyeblast.tv. The stars on their front page today are Tony Snow, a senile Jim Bunning denouncing “Socialism,” and a vile “portrait” of Barack Obama. Glover can whine that conservatives like Tony Snow didn’t get respect on YouTube, but his own video service shows far, far more blatant partisanship.
