Obama Girls Heart the Jonas Brothers
This is over the line, that a right winger like Martin Eisenstadt will go to great lengths to dissect the music preferences of Barack Obama’s daughters. Still, it is not anything we don’t expect from the Republicans, who will fight each other this fall to see how low they can go.
It appears that the Obama girls, not the YouTube version, but Barack Obama’s daughters, are big fans of the Jonas brothers. OK, Barack Obama has it wrong. These guys are not prepubescent singers. But they are guys who appeal to the prepubescent bunch, of which the Obama daughters can call themselves members. And they stand for some darned good values. Evidently they talk a good bit about abstinence. So why would anyone think this is a bad thing?
Well, that’s a partisan question, isn’t it? Yeah, some partisan folks, like Martin Eisenstadt, think that the musical choices of Barack Obama’s daughters is a strong reason to vote against Barack Obama. I kid you not. There might not be a more stupid column in this election, so if you have the stomach, you ought to read it. Not just once did Eisenstadt decide to bust on the Obama girls, but twice. Evidently he thought it would get him ratings or something.
So what’s the big deal? Evidently the Jonas Brothers have worn keffiyahs in their appearances. I suppose Eisenstadt would put them on the no-fly list for that, or something. What a putz!
