Predictions for Election Day, Courtesy of Republicans

Republican pundits gone wild once again! Woohoo! These folks all think Obama is going to win, but their opinions are stupid nonetheless. That seems par for the course, doesn’t it.

Commentary By: Steven Reynolds

All courtesy of CNN. First we have Leslie Sanchez, former advisor to George Bush:

Leslie Sanchez, Republican Strategist: If John McCain is within four points of Obama in the final polls, there’s a chance for a McCain win. The Democrats won’t pick up 9 Senate seats because Sen. Norm Coleman will beat Al Franken in the Minnesota Senate race.

No, Leslie, you are incompetent. Al Franken has this one. So does Barack Obama. Turn in your prognostication card.

Here’s Alex Castellanos, one of Mitt Romney’s advisors. That means he helped a guy spend more money for less primary vvotes than any man in history. Here it is:

Alex Castellanos, Republican Strategist: Obama wins with 318 electoral votes, which he gains by carrying Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada. McCain wins Ohio and North Carolina. The Democrats wind up with 59 Senate seats, but Sen. Mary Landrieu, D- Louisiana, loses her re-election bid.

Alex, Obama will win more than 318 electorals. It’s going to be 325_ You lose, and McCain just might lose North Carolina and Ohio both.

Here’s Ed Rollins, a man who has steered ugly campaigns for several Republicans over the years, including Reagan’s back in the day. This year he headed Mike Huckabee’s failed campaign:

Ed Rollins, Republican Strategist: Obama wins with 352 electoral votes, including Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio. Sen. Elizabeth Dole, R-North Carolina, loses her re-election bid to Democratic challenger Kay Hagan.

That’s more like it. I wonder what role Rollins thinks he has in the armageddon that is the Republican Party. Will he tout for the Radical Christian right, or will he tilt at windmills for the one or two moderates are left? What a putz.

And here’s David Gergen:

David Gergen, CNN Senior Political Analyst: Obama wins with 338 electoral votes, give or take 20. The Democrats pick up 8 Senate seats.

That seems a bit on the money. Yeah, right. Gergen is a Republican centrist, and I imagine he seems lonely over in FantasyLand. He once worked for George HW Bush, and he also served Nixon. that should make him a doofus, the last bit, all in itself.

There’s your gallery of clowns, every one of these Republicans picking an Obama victory. How gleeful, and how stupid their comments. Typical.
